Rooster Sculpture Ceramic Art Tile

Handsome Rooster Art Tiles are Handmade & Hand-painted. Made from stoneware clay and painted with underglazes, then stained with an Iron Oxide wash to give it that vintage look.

Roosters are considered protectors against demons. Having a painting of a red rooster at home means protection against fire. In Chinese mythology, the rooster also means honesty, for its accuracy in marking time, and masculine strength.

This tile approximately 10.5 inches tall, by 8 inches wide and the tile base is approximately 3/8 inches thick. The carved portion adds about 1/8th inch to the thickness.

This unique art tile has two options for display: A metal tile stand or a wire hanger. Please choose which option you would like.

Made from white stoneware clay. This Full-color variation is hand-painted with underglazes and bisque fired. Then a Iron Oxide wash is applied. Then they are refired to 2167 degrees to set the glaze finish and vitrify the clay.

While uniformity is the goal, as in all ceramic art and hand-painted items, each piece will be unique. Color, dimensions and finish may vary slightly. This is usually due to placement in the kiln, firing variations and artist application.
