With many meanings and symbolism's attached to it, it can come to mean many things. The pig is often viewed as a laid back animal. It does not easily attack or angered, but chooses to enjoy life. It symbolizes prosperity, wealth and abundance. Having a fattened pig is a bringer of good luck for many reasons. The Pig is thought to bring luck to farmers as it brings in a good crop as well as rains. The pig is a powerful symbol as it brings all these good things. As a spirit animal the pig symbolizes strength, abundance, prosperity and never needing in life.
They are approximately 8 inches tall, by 8 inches wide and the tile base is approximately 3/8 inches thick. The carved portion adds about 1/8th inch to the thickness.
This unique art tile can be displayed on a table or counter top or framed to hang on the wall. Because of the matte finish, it is not recommended for tile installations.
Made from white stoneware clay. This variation is glazed with an Iron Oxide Wash. Then they are refired to 2167 degrees to set the glaze finish and vitrify the clay.
While uniformity is the goal, as in all ceramic art and hand-painted items, each piece will be unique. Color, dimensions and finish may vary slightly. This is usually due to placement in the kiln, firing variations and artist application.
