Donkeys were portrayed in Biblical works as symbols of service, suffering, peace and humility. They are also associated with the theme of wisdom in the Hebrew Bible's story of Balaam's ass, and are seen in a positive light through the story of Jesus riding into Jerusalem on a donkey.
These beautiful ceramic art tiles would look amazing in any kitchen or farmhouse setting.
They are approximately 8 inches tall, by 6 inches wide and the tile base is approximately 3/8 inches thick. The carved portion adds about 1/8th inch to the thickness.
This unique art tile can be displayed on a tabletop using a tile stand provided or hung on the wall with provided wire hanger. The Honey Amber Glaze option can be mounted as an accent tile in a tile installation. The Iron Oxide Wash finish is not recommended for tile installation.
Made from white stoneware clay. This tile is hand-painted with underglazes or glazes. Then they are refired to 2167 degrees to set the glaze finish and vitrify the clay.
While uniformity is the goal, as in all ceramic art and hand-painted items, each piece will be unique. Color, dimensions and finish may vary slightly. This is usually due to placement in the kiln, firing variations and artist application.
