This Handsome Red Dragon Decorative Art Tile is Hand-carved & Hand-painted.
In the Orient, a dragon symbolizes supernatural power, wisdom, strength, and hidden knowledge. In most traditions, it is the embodiment of chaos and untamed nature.
This unique art tile can be displayed (Black metal tile stand is included) on a table or counter top or hung on the wall with provided wire hanger. Because of it's matte finish, it is not recommended for tile installations.
It is approximately 8 inches tall, by 12 inches wide and the tile base is approximately 3/8 inches thick. The carved portion adds about 1/8th inch to the thickness.
Made from white stoneware clay. This tile is hand-painted with underglazes and bisque fired. Then a clear glaze is applied to seal the underglaze. Then tiles are refired to 2167 degrees to set the glaze finish and vitrify the clay.
While uniformity is the goal, as in all ceramic art and hand-painted items, each piece will be unique. Color, dimensions and finish may vary slightly. This is usually due to placement in the kiln, firing variations and artist application.
